Editorial Policy

Sources come first

Every factual claim on the site is tied to a source a reader can check: a state statute or regulator notice, an operator’s published terms and sweepstakes rules, an IRS publication or a provider’s own game information. Pages that depend on terms show a “last checked” date. If a detail cannot be confirmed, the article says “we couldn’t confirm” rather than guessing.

No testing claims

The journal does not play, deposit, redeem or test products, and articles never imply otherwise. Comparisons are built from what operators publish.

Choosing brands for lists

Round-ups start from operators that publish full terms and an AMOE method. Brands are compared on stated facts: redemption minimums, excluded states, verification steps, coin packages and processing times. A brand that is not available in a state named on the page is left off that page.

Paid articles carry a “Sponsored” label. Paid links carry rel="sponsored nofollow". Partner placements in lists are marked, and payment never changes the criteria used to rank them.

Corrections and updates

Errors can be reported to editorial@sweepscoinjournal.com. Confirmed corrections are made promptly and noted at the foot of the page with the date. State-by-state pages are reviewed whenever a regulator or legislature acts, and other pages are reviewed on a rolling basis.
