About Sweeps Coin Journal
Sweeps Coin Journal is a plain-English desk on US sweepstakes and social casinos. It explains how the two-currency model works, where these sites are allowed to operate, how prize redemptions are processed and what the published terms actually say.
Who it is written for
Adults in the United States who already play sweeps casinos, or who are weighing one up and want the rules laid out before they sign up. The site assumes no prior knowledge and does not assume the reader wants to play more.
What the journal does
- Reads operator terms, sweepstakes rules and alternative method of entry (AMOE) policies, then summarises them with the date they were checked.
- Tracks state-level changes, including bans and pending bills, and links to the statute or regulator notice behind each one.
- Compares brands on published facts: redemption minimums, excluded states, verification steps and processing times as stated by the operator.
It does not claim to have played, redeemed or tested anything. Where a detail cannot be confirmed from a primary source, the article says so.
How the site is funded
The journal carries advertising and a limited number of sponsored placements. Every paid piece is labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the page, and paid links carry a sponsored attribute. Payment does not change how a brand is described or ranked. The full rules are on the editorial policy page.
Age and safety
Sweepstakes casinos are for adults: 21+ in most states, 18+ only where state law allows. If play stops being fun, the help and support page lists free, confidential services.
